Pages Added

I'm also testing out blogspot's additional pages feature. Just having a blog is nice but the extra pages can add some content helpful for a blogger like myself. The pages will be adding distinct and detailed content regarding the house. The blog will just limit itself to updates or thoughts on topic. So, irony being what it is, the blog takes a secondary role on blogspot.

Right now the pages are: Walk Through (Video Diary), Moving and Leaving (Journal), Contractors & Services: Success and Failures, About Us (unpopulated). I think the page names and labels are quite self explanatory. A future page will be Projects and possibly House Warming & Parties.

It will be interesting to test the capabilities and limits of the pages feature(s).

Introduction

So after six years of renting our apartment in New Hampshire, we're originally from Philadelphia, we finally decided to buy a house. Okay, let's be honest - I decided and my wife conceded. She's not thrilled about living in New Hampshire for two reasons: Snow and really bad drivers. Really, really bad drivers!

All that being said: we started, found, contracted and closed on a house in what I consider record time.  Contacted an agent on 22-Jun, hunted houses and put one under contract 21-Jul, and closed on 26-Aug. Even at this fast pace there were still many annoyances but I did my best at steamrolling every road bump before my wife saw them.

Closing was five days ago and I'm finally starting to type here. With my family spread out all over the country, and hers too, the best way to include all of them (and our friends!) is to create this website for sharing our experiences. I should have had some videos of the property up by now but Habitat is consuming a lot of my time as well. So we'll have to be happy with a few pics and videos from today - "Sort of Moving Day"
